Todd Richard Bio
Todd Richard is one of the most distinct, refreshing artists on the country music scene today. Born in Hamilton but raised in BC, Todd’s rich vocals and unique style have fans sitting up and taking notice – and they’re loving what they see and hear.
With numerous BC Country Music Award nominations and a two time CBC Searchlight semi-finalist , Todd has been busy building his growing fan base of TR Rebels and "Frands" And shared the stage with many of country music’s top acts,
including Dwight Yoakum, Dierks Bentley, Gord Bamford, Aaron Goodvin and rock legend Randy Bachman to name a few.
Todd has been back in studio in 2018 working on new songs for his third album with exciting young Vancouver producer Anthony Fiddler (Fiddler Productions) and is excited to have the first new single titled "Still Got Hope" release to radio on March 05th and his recent single "King of Crown" released in late July!
***A little TR History***
Some folks will remember Todd from 2008 and his early appearance's on CMT televisions Karaoke Star where he competed and was part of BC's, Calgary's and then the final show in Toronto. A few years later in 2012 and now with an album under his belt Todd was chosen as one of 30 Canadian entertainers to take part in CMT's hit show 'Big In A Small Town" where he garnered huge international exposure by making his his way through to the season finale as one of 6 final contestants. He released his first album "Journey On" in 2012 – as well as four subsequent singles to Canadian country radio – which received a 2012 CCMA nomination for producer Bart McKay. In the fall of 2016 released his 2nd album titled "Longneck Breakdown" with two singles released to Canadian radio
Working to "Change the World with a Song"
Fast forward to 2017, and back in the studio with award winning BCCMA producer Jeff Johnson
( Bailey Way Ent ) Todd was working on his idea to change the world with the power of a song for kids at Variety the Children's Charity " Follow Your Heart " is a song Todd and Jeff wrote specifically for the Charity. The song was produced in a "We are the World" type fashion with numerous artists from across Canada. Since its release the charity has declared this uplifting heart felt song there unnofficial new anthem. And in 2017 in Atlanta Georgia received an International Media Award from Variety Int, the prestigious 'Colleen Wood Award", 100% of all downloads going to support Variety.
